New National Cyber Alert System

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security unveils a new national Cyber Alert System. I have mixed feelings on this, but another site from someone not trying to sell you a security product might be a good thing.

Every geek should visit this site if you have ever lived on cereal. Sorry for those Citrix folks that want Citrix news, but there is nothing interesting going on. ;-)

Nerd Versus Geek

Why we are called servergeek and not servernerd. TechTV defines a geek as a nerd with a touch of cool. I like that.

Yet Another Virus

A mass-mailing virus quickly spread through the Internet on Monday, compromising computers so that they attack the SCO Group's Web server with a flood of data on Feb. 1.

This one is called either MyDoom or Novarg. How about we name these darn things one name and something easy to remember? Maybe a centralized group should name these things like they do hurricanes?

Gates reveals his spam solution

You Can't Live On Just Fast Food

I thought this was a joke, but boingboing.net has an article about how a film maker tried to live on three McDonald's meals a day as part of a documentary.

Guess what? The guys liver became toxic and his cholestorol shot up! He also suffered bad headaches and depression. I stopped eating fast food years ago so I have no excuse for my problems. ;-)
